Okay, I won't handle much of the tournament mechanics but here's what we need to accomplish for that one first:
- Name of the tournament
- Mechanics for it
- Prizes (Settled)
- Designs
Anyway, here's my game plan for it. I don't plan on moving slow for the next 2 months and a huge tournament might take awhile to finish so we'll do it like this:
We only have 5 weeks left before 10 days before Christmas and form the moment I posted this, it's a total of 35 days left so in the first week, the plan is to finish the graphics competition and the voting for it alongside the mechanics for this tournament and sign up page.
I will be the host for the tournament and I won't give a damn if the person misses the sign ups. Late sign ups are considered invalid after the deadline. For my part, it's a Saturday so starting tomorrow or on Monday, we have to get this thing done. (Recommended is Sunday to start a proper count down)
The rest of the 4 weeks will then be dedicated for the tournament!
Also, in the graphics competition, this is what the staff has decided to have so the following prizes are: 1 MCA Shirt (Black in Color), 2 Bawlers (Google if you don't know), 1 3/4ths (Google if you don't know), 1 Cap (MCA Logo on top)
Anyway, the designs will be really simple so as to not overwhelm people. For the shirt, I plan on having the competition have the design like this:
"MCA" word on the bottom right, the one were the edge is cut on the biceps level and "Winner" on the left. In the front area, the design with "Chaos Goddess" as the main monster is shown. The design however needs to be Vertical Rectangle.
For the bawler, I just plan on having simple writings (Since they're white and black or most probably red): "Tournament Acronym + Champion" and "Medieval Chaos"
For the cap, I'll have the competition be made in a logo to be patched on the upper part of the cap.
For the 3/4ths, I just plan on having MCA's winning logo/symbol on the upper left corner of the 3/4ths since I know a lot of people are fond of 3/4ths.
As for the name of the tournament, here's just an idea: Medieval Chaos Winter Sonata Tournament.
For the mechanics, let's go with Zykan's idea of a grand prix, so these are the rules that came to my mind:
Rules:
- Round Robbin for the first round which by then at the end, whoever has the most points will go to the top 4 (2 weeks allotted for this)
- A match duel will be then held for the final 4
- Only 24 players are accepted since the plan is having 6 players in 4 groups
- 2 or 1 corresponding judge will be assigned for each group (Group = Mini tournament)
- If the corresponding judge wishes to join the tournament, he is not allowed to join his own group but can only join other groups (Still included for the 24 sign ups)
- Judges can only be a War Adjudicator, Teacher, Moderator, Game Master and Administrator
- Late sign ups are considered invalid
- Since there are 14 days allotted for the Round Robbin, the plan is to monitor the scores every 2 days or everyday in order for this to go smoothly
- The assigned judge must have ALL the participants added so when the other judges are not on, he can help by reminding the others to duel more
- The prizes will be shifted 10 days before Christmas
Warning: There is no guarantee that all the items will be allowed to be shifted because this country has restrictions.
